Labs for the Quanser QNET HVAC Board

Through these labs, students complete experiments to learn the fundamentals of climate control. This includes modeling a system, controlling temperature in a chamber using relay feedback control, and controlling temperature in a chamber using proportional-integral (PI) control. All experiments use NI ELVIS and the Quanser HVAC add-on board, which is driven by an array of resistors as a heating element and a high-quality brushless fan. You can use the six high-accuracy temperature sensors along the heating channel for a variety of heat flow experiments, model validation, and proportional integral control design.
