Students will use the concepts and skills developed in previous labs, like counters and encoders, to design and build digital dice in a project-based lab. Students will design the entirety of the circuit using Multisim, and then create a physical circuit of digital dice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


In this lab, students will:
  1. Use a sequence of steps grounded in prior knowledge of digital circuits to create a digital dice that generates random numbers when activated
  2. Strengthen research and problem-solving skills as the conceptualize and build the digital dice circuit one step at a time

    • Navigate to C:\NIFPGA\programs\Vivado2014_4\data\xicom\cable_drivers\nt64\digilent
    • Install install_digilent.exe
