Truth Tables and Basic Logic Gates

Logic circuits are the building blocks of digital hardware. Students will learn the functions and applications of three simple logic gates: the AND gate, the OR gate, and the NOT gate. Students will also use truth tables to to visually represent the inputs and outputs for a given logic operation. Multisim is used to observe the behavior of the most common logic gates.
This is lab 2 of 16 in the course, Digital Electronics.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


After completing this lab, students will be able to:
  1. Explore the behavior of different configurations of logic gates.
  2. Configure and build circuits and PLD designs in Multisim.
