Temperature Measurement Project

In this project, students will use methodologies outlined in the previous labs to design and implement their own temperature system to achieve a specific measurement. Students will have to consider the right sensor, determine the signal conditioning circuit, ADC sampling and the right software and analysis to implement the design. Once they have made the design consideration, they will build the design and verify if the requirement were met.
This is lab 5 of 9 in the course, Measurements and Instrumentation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


After completing this project, students will be able to:
  1. Explain how voltage change and temperature rise are related
  2. Discuss the relationship between resistance and temperature
  3. Analyze results of a measurement need and explain how sensor characteristics impact the measurement
