OVERVIEW

Goal Select an instrument type and model with the required performance and use it to accurately acquire measurements or generate signals.
Task-based Objectives
  • Understand the different types of signals and the sensors used to measure signals and select the appropriate type for a given measurement need.
  • Understand the basic concepts of measurement including measurement accuracy, acquisition rates, and signal conditioning.
  • Select the appropriate instrument and implement signal connectivity best practices for accurate and safe measurement.
  • Use a DMM and Oscilloscope to acquire and log signals for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Additional objectives and requirements will be added to this learning path.

I am not pleased again! I completed the other 3 badges only to find out that "Troubleshooting Measurements" badge is not yet available. Because of that the "Troubleshooting Test Systems" badge is not able to be completed. That's a lot of wasted time completing the other badges. At least it says upfront that it is not yet complete unlike "Test Principles" which does not.
